STORIES FROM HAMILTON
I’m currently working as a video journalist at CHCH News Channel 11 in Hamilton, covering stories from across the region.
I’m drawn to stories about people — from the big issues affecting a community to the smaller moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. I enjoy finding the human side of a story and using interviews, pictures, natural sound and a little personality to bring it to life.
Here are some of the stories I’ve enjoyed telling.
Going back to where a simple “hello” helped change the way the world communicates.
For the Fort Erie Jr. Cannons, stepping up to the plate is about friendship, confidence and giving it your best.
A close-knit racing community mourns the loss of a longtime employee killed at the track.
After years of providing a safer space for people who use drugs, a lack of funding forces a vital Hamilton service to close its doors.
Picket lines, grounded flights and growing pressure as flight attendants take their fight with WestJet to the streets.
Breaking down what changed, why Canada suspended negotiations and what new U.S. tariffs could mean for Canadian businesses and workers.
Cancelled flights and changing plans — travellers at Pearson share how the labour dispute disrupted their journeys.
Through the sound of the drum, dance and tradition, a celebration of Indigenous culture and community comes alive.
From one extreme to another, Hamilton residents find ways to adjust as temperatures keep shifting.
An extraordinary journey as six beluga whales leave Marineland for new homes in the United States.
I’m really drawn to hyperlocal stories — the ones that often get overlooked and don’t always make it onto the evening newscast. For me, those are just as important as any national headline, because they reflect what’s actually happening in people’s day-to-day lives.
STORIES FROM VICTORIA, B.C.
